Find Sustiva

Looking back and looking ahead.... http://www.michaelbrugh.com/images/landscape-orange-blue.jpg What I love the most about the holidays is spending time with friends and loved ones. I mentioned in my recent post how I've enjoyed having friends over this year.    I know after I have a get together, find sustiva I or we always vow to do it more often, find sustiva and I plan that 2011 will be the year I will fulfill that goal. I love time spent together with others when we can have a chance to catch up and talk face to face.  Funny how in this day and age that has become somewhat of a rare commodity. A few years ago when I decided I wanted to create a blog, find sustiva I originally wanted to name it talkaboutit.com. Find sustiva However because the url wasn't available, find sustiva I opted for Conniespage.com which was, find sustiva (and is) a satisfactory substitute* Few things inspire and feed my soul more than a hearty, find sustiva robust dialog. Find sustiva In particular, find sustiva the kind where conversation flows effortlessly, find sustiva people are interested engaged and enjoying themselves, find sustiva and any judgement, find sustiva formality or rules, find sustiva however unspoken are cast aside. In part, find sustiva I can thank my family for setting such a goalpost from early on really. Find sustiva   Things could get pretty colorful at times during exchanges with my family. Find sustiva   And while there were certain boundaries probably (no certainly) present during such exchanges, find sustiva I learned that speaking up was a necessity if I was going to be heard. Find sustiva    I think those conversations instigated a desire in me for conversations that expanded beyond ordinary, find sustiva confined chit chat. And while this was probably beneficial and/or meritorious in many ways, find sustiva I've also realized, find sustiva through trial and error, find sustiva there is a way in which to engage in conversations that requires some discipline, find sustiva diplomacy and protocol - something I've fallen short in achieving on occasions. Find sustiva    Here's to living and learning!   Seems to me there is a true art to finding the balance in good conversation - where those of us wanting to jump in the deeper end and those wishing to wade a bit in the shallow waters can meet in comfortable waters. Find sustiva With that said, find sustiva I think we all have our own perimeters or goals really.  I always enjoy a conversation that has a means to an end.  I like to feel inspired from a conversation and I really appreciate moments where I learn something new from someone else. Of course there are the times in any 'free range dialog' where I have been challenged (either via my ego or my facts and/or both) and while it's not fun, find sustiva it's all part of the game of life and learning isn't it?    There have been many times where I've been challenged by someone and/or something said, find sustiva only to find days (or in some cases years) later I realize 'they' were right and/or we both were. Find sustiva   The more I learn, find sustiva the more I learn, find sustiva and the more I realize we all have our perspectives and our own life experiences and they all are very real and true to us. Why do I write this? Well, find sustiva it seems that after the holidays, find sustiva there is the lull that comes. Find sustiva   Of course that makes sense and should be expected. Find sustiva   However it also has been an opportunity to look and see what means the most to me and how I can manifest it more in my life. I also believe there is a lack and/or shortage of good old kitchen table conversation and dialog for so many of us, find sustiva and while I appreciate places like Facebook and other internet sites that allow us to "connect" with others, find sustiva however there are so many factors missing as well. Find sustiva    Like with emails, find sustiva dialog and so called conversations can often and understandably be misunderstood and/or simply be received in a way which leaves things wide open for assumption, find sustiva lack of clarity and/or understanding.  Emails/messages while they are great for exchanging basic information, find sustiva cannot in my opinion, find sustiva create an avenue for a true relationship of any kind to really grow and/or be sustained. I have wondered lately how much I and/or we are missing by relegating our time and energy to places and even relationships based on internet exchange only, find sustiva where face to face exchange is lacking or absent overall. While I have a Facebook account, find sustiva I've held off on engaging in other forms of internet connecting.  Perhaps I'm unique, find sustiva although I've had other friends say the same. So I guess I write this to those who feel similarly, find sustiva and to those who appreciate the value in the face to face time, find sustiva and who hope to create more of such interactions for themselves in 2011. I won't say it won't be challenging. Find sustiva   It's all too easy to fall back into the world of technology, find sustiva but probably like any habit, find sustiva replacing it, find sustiva atleast in part, find sustiva can be achieved by doing just that substituting it with something else that is hopefully more constructive. Find sustiva    I've forgotten what the inside of the gym looks like.  I can run but I can't hide :) I drove a friend to the airport shuttle recently, find sustiva and she mentioned she met a fun group of women in her belly dancing class. Interesting. Never considered belly dancing. Happy New Year everyone*****I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said "Be Fantastic". Find sustiva A nice idea or goal to consider for 2011......
